SVT Health & Wellness offers events and classes in Homer, Seldovia and Anchor Point. Whether it’s a Thriving Thursdays class, a Brown Bag Lunch talk or other event, you’re sure to learn something new to improve your health and wellbeing.

Unless otherwise noted, all classes are free (donations accepted) and located in the Wellness Conference Room at the SVT Health & Wellness location at 880 East End Road in Homer. As always, all people are welcome.

February 1 Move with Greater Ease and Comfort – with Dotti Harness and Cathy Stingley, Feldenkrais Practitioners
Explore fun and stimulating movements that help improve balance, posture, range of motion and help your flexibility, as well as reduce the likelihood of falling. Movements can be done sitting or standing and all are done within YOUR comfort zone. LIVE music based on the HANDLE and Feldenkrais methods.


February 8 “Generational Emotional Mapping: Reprogramming the Subconscious with Essential Oils” – with Joyce M Turkington, Wellness Coach, Owner of K-Bay Wellness Center

Turkington will explore the familial origins of mental, emotional and physical disharmony plus how using the essential oils can shift subconscious generational emotional programming.

Over the last sixty years much has changed in healthcare; some incredibly good, some not so good. Sadly, Big Pharma has created a large epidemic and crisis. The victims this time are our family, friends, coworkers, classmates…opiate addicts. Steve will be sharing his knowledge as a pharmacist, what to be aware of when taking pain medication, alternatives to consider, and how to work with your Care Provider to ensure the right care options for your pain needs.
